Oregon Releases New Payroll System

The State of Oregon Employment Department is updating their reporting process by launching the Oregon Payroll Reporting System (OPRS) later this year. The OPRS will eliminate the filing of papers saving businesses time and reducing their risk for errors in the payroll process. Once the system is live an employer will be able to access the system and create an account by going to www.OPRS.Oregon.gov. The new system is easily accessible on any computer with internet service; No installations are required!

In February, the State of Oregon Employment Department announced an update on the release of this system after testing the system multiple times to ensure reliability. Since October 2018, more people have been asked to test the system. This process will continue as select Oregon employers slowly gain access. The OPRS also features a step-by-step wizard to help new users in need. Employers that have already tested it are excited to see how efficient and easy to use it is.
