Sunset Letter

Dear Netbooks Customer:
All good things must come to an end. The purpose of this letter
is to advise you that Symmetry Software will discontinue support of the Netbooks family
of products. This family includes Netbooks, atOnce and Peachtree Accounting for the Mac 2.0.
We appreciate your business over the years, and consider it an honor to have
been a part of your company. For the past five years, Symmetry has
successfully developed and marketed web-based payroll solutions. Today we
find ourselves the industry leader in this specialized area. Until OS X was
introduced in 2001, we could comfortably support Netbooks. In 2002 it became obvious we must undergo the difficult task of an OS
X redesign. Rather than divert our energy away from our core payroll products,
we decided to "sunset" Netbooks. It had a long run, far outliving most
software products in its class; we launched Netbooks in 1989 as atOnce!.
What specifically does this mean to you? It does not mean that your program will stop working. It does mean that you will no longer receive
technical support or payroll tax updates for tax year 2005 and beyond. Current tax
table subscribers will continue to receive tax year 2004 changes through the end of their subscription.
Valuing our long relationship, we sought and found a Mac compatible solution
that would allow NetBooks users a solid alternative. CONNECTED
Precision Accounting, by Accountek, is the best fit for NetBooks users because of its
commitment to the Mac platform, longevity, and ease of use. CONNECTED has
been developed since 1991 and is approaching the release of its OS X native version in September 2004. Enclosed is a CONNECTED brochure
with a special offer to all NetBooks users. Although Symmetry will be unable to provide
technical support for the conversion, Accountek will be able to assist with the transfer of your existing NetBooks data to CONNECTED."
